Sanwana was forged in the city of Steel - Sheffield, Northern England.
During the pandemic, an unlikely once in a lifetime gift was handed to people - Time. It was only then, that Sanwana first recorded their songs and riffs, played many times over the years, but never heard by others. Life got in the way as it does for so many creative sorts and playing for fun was as far as it went. From the unsuccessful and often comical Lead Singer auditions in Red Tape Studios all those years ago to the development of accessible recording software and the valued input of one Sheffields brightest drummers, Sanwana simply share moods of work, love, rest and play.

Influenced by a wide range of British rock bands and artists (a special nod to Scotland here) with some more recent quality audio assistance from across the pond, 9 other tracks are nearing completion for third party consumption. They will be out there soon. Some old, some new, some rock and some to slow, life’s about tastes and variation after all… That’s prompted some new tunes, half written that need finishing and putting down on tape (well micro chip and cloud storage stuff 🤯), but that’s for another day….
